On September 6th and 13th, 2014, a delegation from the Beirut Research and Innovation Center (BRIC) visited the RMACN to conduct experimental tests on the use of high electromagnetic energy to detect and remove mines.

These tests highlighted the gas emission from mine explosive materials, the mine detectors' efficiency, and the ability to explode mines with electromagnetic energy.
