The LMAC attended the Intersessional Meeting to the Convention on Cluster Munitions (CCM) at the World Meteorological Organization (WMO) building in Geneva, Switzerland, from 22 to 24 June 2015. The meeting was organized with the assistance of the interim Implementation Support Unit at UNDP and with the logistical support of the Geneva International Centre for Humanitarian Demining (GICHD).
This first meeting held 5 years after the ratification of the CCM, aimed to further capture the views and positions of States with regard to the Dubrovnik draft Action Plan capturing the suggested guidance that will contribute to the effective and efficient implementation of the Convention over the next five-year period of its life.
The LMAC's statement on this occasion was highly appreciated by all attendees, spotlighting the vital importance that Lebanon places on international cooperation and collaboration with States suffering from the impact of cluster munitions, outlining as well all the accomplishments and projects that have been realized thus far towards a world free from the impact of indiscriminate cluster munitions.
