In the scope of the international Community interest in the mine action activities in Lebanon, the Norwegian Ambassador to Lebanon visited LMAC on 11 September 2017. Brig. Gen. Ziad Nasr briefed the ambassador on the progress in the humanitarian mine action program in Lebanon and discussed several means for potential cooperation between two countries.. At the end of the meeting, the LMAC director thanked Norway for the generous support to Lebanon and thanked the Ambassador particularly for her special interest in the mine problem in Lebanon.

In her turn, the ambassador recommended the role of LMAC in the humanitarian context and expressed her country`s commitment to always support Lebanon in his humanitarian demining process.
