Attending Overseas IMSMA Training Courses

In October 2015, one LMAC staff member attended a ten-day hands-on training course in IMSMA version 6.0 Administrator 2, which took place in Geneva, Switzerland. The training was organized by the GICHD and aimed to develop the skills of all IMSMA users by focusing on the analysis of IMSMA data and GIS analysis (with ArcGIS online, PRISMA, etc.).

Trainees gained a comprehensive understanding of the architecture for reporting and analysis of data from IMSMA and other mine action data sources, the principles and good practices of mapping and visual data analysis, GIS applications in Mine Action, and the creation of maps using different data sources. Through this training, participants will be able to use MINT for web reporting and to create more complex reports.
