The Lebanon Mine Action Center, in collaboration with the Geneva International Centre for Humanitarian Demining (GICHD) and with the support of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), organized a 5-day regional workshop on "Quality Management in Arabic" from 5 to 9 May, 2014 at Fouad Shehab for Command and Staff College (CSC). Representatives of the GICHD, the Arab countries (Yemen, Jordan, Algeria, Egypt, Sudan, Libya, Palestine, Somalia, Mauritania, Western Sahara and Iraq) as well as Lebanese officers attended the workshop.

The LMAC Director welcomed and thanked all attendees and expressed the Center's will to share experience and lessons learnt in the humanitarian mine action field.

During the workshop sessions, attendees shared their expertise in the quality assurance and quality control fields as well as their future plans and suggestions to improve the quality control process. On the other hand, they visited two BAC where the MAG teams operate and conducted two field visits to the DCA teams operating in Jeita.

At the end of the workshop, attendees received follow-up certificates from the LMAC Director and the GICHD Director Assistant.
