"My siblings passed in front of me. As I passed, I stepped on a cluster bomb, detonating it."

Children have been the primary victims of cluster bombs and mines since the Israeli enemy aggressions began in the country in the 1970s. Mohammad Abd El Aal (12 years old) was one of the victims who got injured in Halta, Southern Lebanon while enjoying his day in the fields with his siblings. On that day, Mohammad was with the goats singing. “My siblings passed in front of me. As I passed, I stepped on a cluster bomb, detonating it,” he said. “I changed a lot, I lost my leg” he noted, with eyes filling with tears.” Mohammad’s biggest fear today is for his siblings who may deal with the same tragedy that happened to him.
