إنّ وزير الدفاع هو رئيس السلطة المولجة بالأعمال المتعلقة بالألغام في لبنان LMAA وهو مسؤول أمام الحكومة اللبنانية عن البرنامج الوطني اللبناني للأعمال المتعلقة بالألغام LNMAP لدعم الجهود الآيلة لمعالجة مشكلة الألغام والذخائر العنقودية في البلاد. يقوم المركز اللبناني للأعمال المتعلّقة بالألغام LMAC بتنفيذ وتنسيق البرنامج الوطني اللبناني للأعمال المتعلّقة بالألغام نيابة عن السلطة المولجة بالأعمال المتعلّقة بالألغام في لبنان.

RSHDL

The Regional School for Humanitarian Demining in Lebanon (RSHDL) focuses on delivering high-quality training programs in mine action, designed to equip professionals with the knowledge and skills needed to address explosive hazards effectively and safely. Committed to advancing humanitarian mine action, RSHDL serves both Lebanon and other countries affected by explosive remnants of war, fostering safer, more resilient communities. Guided by a vision to play a leading global role in mine action training, the school emphasizes innovation, excellence, and collaboration, ensuring its contributions meet the evolving needs of the field while strengthening partnerships and building capacities regionally and internationally.

Mine Action Strategy

LMAC Strategy 2020 - 2025 Review

The 2025-2020 strategic plan was developed in 2020 to guide LMAC in leading and managing mine action responsibilities effectively and in close partnership with stakeholders. It consists mainly of gradually declaring all the regions of Lebanon free from EO following the latest prioritization study.

However, since 2020 Lebanon has faced a compounding series of challenges.

To stay responsive, effective, and adaptive to the Lebanese context, an objective and unbiased full review on the 2025-2020 LMAC strategy was conducted to benefit from emerging practices, identify gaps and new opportunities within the program.

This will help Lebanon to keep his position as one of the best mine action programs in the world.
