Graduation of Trainees

On the occasion of the end of the “Train the Trainers” courses on Humanitarian Demining, a graduation ceremony was held on December 11th, 2013 during which trainees received follow-up session certificates and commemorative shields were distributed to the French training team members.

In his speech, Colonel Olivier Labrosse, the French Military Attaché thanked Brigadier General Odeimi, LMAC Director, for providing assistance to the French experts during the training period and congratulated all graduates and wished them success in their mission.

Brigadier G. Odeimi, LMAC Director, shed light on the School’s role in helping affected countries to eradicate the threat of mines and ERWs. This will be achieved by sharing the knowledge and skills learnt over the past years with countries in need in addition to assisting them in the management of their Mine Action Programs. At the end of his word, G. Odeimi expressed his gratitude and thanks to all who contributed to the accomplishment of this project and stressed that work is undergoing towards: “A Lebanon free from the impact of mines.”

The graduation was followed by a cocktail party.
