On 7/3/2017, the LMAC received a team visit from the Program of the Near East Weapons Removal Office in the American Ministry of the external affairs and Handicap program manager in Lebanon. The delegation visited minefields currently being cleared by HI in the North mainly in Toula and Berbara villages. The team listened to a brief on the flow of the demining process in the fields and the different methodologies used to clear mines.
On 10/2/2017, a number of LMAC officers attended a field experiment that was done on security cameras designed by BRIC (Beirut Research and Invention Center) in a minefield operated by DCA in Ain Al Rimmaneh, Mount Lebanon. These were to be used to monitor the work of de miners where the experiment showed that the cameras still need some adjustment to deliver the desired results.
On 18/1/2017, LMAC received a visit from the UN resident representative in Lebanon, Mr Philip Lazzarini, along with a team from UNDP and MAG.
On 17/1/2017, LMAC visited a minefield in Ain El Saidy, Mount Lebanon along with a team from DCA, represented by DCA Denmark general manager and DCA Lebanon general manager.
