On December 15th, 2014, a Norwegian People's Aid (NPA) delegation from Laos, willing to take charge of the NPA organization, met with the LMAC Director and was shortly briefed on the humanitarian mine action activities of the Center, the latest achievements, and the future plans and received an update on the LMAP's current situation.
The PM-WRA, Geary Cox visited Lebanon accompanied by Melissa Windecker to witness the humanitarian mine action programme's implementation stages, from 7 to 14 December 2014.
Under the supervision of the LMAC, the Sales Manager of Rofi Company, one of the leading suppliers of safety vests for mine-clearing, visited the HI, the NPA and the DCA organizations working in the demining field in Lebanon, on November 5th and 6th, 2014 to present the new modifications that were added to both Rofi's vest and visor to help achieving more effective mine-clearing in a safer manner.
On September 30th and October 2nd, 2014, the ITF Director, Damjan Bergant accompanied by Mrs. Barbara Mali, and the Slovenian Ambassador to Lebanon and the Honorary Consul visited Lebanon to witness the implementation stages of the Lebanese Humanitarian Mine Action Programme and to discuss the means of funding for the NGOs working in the demining field in Lebanon.
