Visit of Ms. Arianna Calza bini
LMAC is conducting an internal assessment workshop on the principle of gender in collaboration with Ms. Arianna Calza Bini, Director of GMAP, at GICHD.
4th Mine Action Forum
On 19 June 2019, Norway hosted a one day workshop on Mine Action in Lebanon at Four Seasons Hotel Beirut. A new mine Action Forum which is the Fourth meeting was established.
The workshop brought together Lebanon Mine Action Center (LMAC) under the leadership of Brigadier General Jihad Al Bechelany, ambassadors, international donors and clearance NGOs to discuss the issues and challenges in Mine Action in Lebanon, share comments by other donors and stakeholders, show the progress and challenges of clearance phase, new types and technologies.
Field visit to a MF in Hadath Al Jebbeh
Mr. Emmanuel Sauvage, Director of Armed Violence Reduction, visited a minefield at Hadath Al Jebbeh with LMAC Chief of Operations to share experience and observe the clearance progress.
