Meeting with the General Controller of firefighters
On 9 January 2019, Brigadier General Ziad Nasr, LMAC Director, welcomed Mr. Philippe Nardin (General Controller of firefightes) accompanied with Mrs. Eleonore Forget (Director of International Development at GEOMINES) and they explained the ways of cooperation together.
CBAP Training Course
In November - December 2018, LMAC and UNDP Staff received a training course from AUB about "Capacity Development Training for Business Analysis Capacity".
This course lasts for 8 sessions, and at the end a test was conducted.
Beirut International Arab Book Fair 2018
During December 2018, Lebanon Mine Action Center (LMAC) is participating in the Beirut International Arab Book Fair at Sea Side Arena - Beirut by setting a section showing types of cluster munitions, mines and unexploded ordnance, awareness signs, and a mannequin with visor and PPE where a bried will be held about danger of mines in addition of distribution of flyers and educational games in order to raise awareness of mines to more than 10000 visitors from all ages.
