On 20 March, Mr. Jorgen Bach, DCA Technical Advisor, visited Cluster munitions sites conducted by DCA in Aramoun and in Bmehray where the Site Supervisors gave detailed briefings about their operations. Then he visited the RSHDL and discussed the possibility of delivering an EOD 2 course during July and offering some equipment. Later on, he visited the Regional Mine Action Center – Nabatieh, where he received a brief about the RMAC-N activities and the cooperation between the center and the mine action organizations followed by visits to cluster munitions sites in Arzoun, Beit Lif, Tibnin, and Shamaa where Site Supervisors gave a brief about their operations.

On 2 of March, an opening ceremony of the Regional School for humanitarian Demining in Lebanon and the graduation of students were held at the Said Al-Khatib barrack - Hammana and included the following:

- Speech of Colonel Jihad Al Bechelany, Director of the RSHDL, about the activities of the school and its importance to the countries of the region.

- Speech by the European Union, represented by Julia Koch De Biolley.

- Speech of Brigadier General Ziad Nasr, representative of the General Commander of the Army, in which he thanked everyone for their contribution to the launching of the school and its success.

- Delivering a briefing by Captain Ahmed Lamaa about the work of the school.

- Distribution of certificates in the course of explosives expert (EOD1).

 At the end of the ceremony, the audience made a tour in the school and attended a cocktail party on the occasion.

Mr. Gary John visited the Regional School for humanitarian Demining in Lebanon (RSHDL) at the Said Al Khatib barrack -Hammana in order to prepare for the launch of a non-technical survey course in May for students from Arab countries, and to check the:

- Training locations (training rooms, training fields and demolitions field).

- Equipment and training procedures available at the school.

- Accommodation of trainers and trainees at the school.

In line with developed countries in the participation of men and women in all sectors of society, a workshop organized by GMAP on gender, on 7 and 8/11/2017 at the RSHDL- Hamana, the workshop was attended by officers, soldiers and members of both sexes from the Lebanon Mine Action Center and civilians from demining societies and organizations under the auspices of the LMAC.
