On February 5th, 2014, British Ambassador to Lebanon Tom Fletcher and the LMAC Director had a field visit to the Chouf region where they witnessed minefield marking and demining operations of the Mines Advisory Group (MAG) teams. They were accompanied by Lord Michael Williams, MAG's newly appointed Chairman, MAG Chief Executive Officer and MAG Regional Operation Manager.

On January 22nd, 2014, the Western Sahara Mine Action Center Director and the NPA MRE and MVA Coordinator in Lebanon met with the LMAC Director and were shortly briefed on the LMAP implementation stages, the latest achievements as well as the future plan and the challenges looming ahead. In the following two days, they visited the NPA BAC teams operating in South Lebanon and checked their hardware.

A workshop on the environmental impact of landmines/explosive remnants of war (ERW) and mine action in the Arab world took place in Kuwait from 10 to 12 December 2013. It was organised by the Geneva International Centre for Humanitarian Demining (GICHD), in partnership with the Kuwait Institute for Scientific Research and the Kuwait National Focal Point.
