As part of its academic cooperation with the American University of Beirut (AUB), the LMAC received a delegation from the Faculty of Health Sciences at the AUB, headed by Professor Joumana Kalout, on January 22nd, 2015. This visit had for purpose to discuss the management and coordination of the development process and higher education in the context of humanitarian mine action activities.

The UNDP, with the support of the EU, provided the LMAC with a Trimble DGPS (Differential Global Positioning System) to further enhance the mine action activities, thus reducing the risk of injury from mines/ ERW, including cluster munitions. Accordingly, to facilitate the proper use of the DGPS, a two-day training workshop on "the Use and Maintenance of the Trimble DGPS" was implemented on the 20th and 21st of January 2015. 15 LMAC officers and noncommissioned officers as well as LAF Engineer Regiment officers attended this workshop.

Under the supervision of the LMAC, the BALAMAND University organized a Mine Victim Assistance (MVA) and Mine Risk Education (MRE) Workshop on November 27th, 2014 at the Central Military Club in Beirut, Lebanon. The Programme Manager at the European Union delegation to Lebanon, the BALAMAND University Director, UNDP officers, and MVA and MRE members attended the workshop.

On October 28th, 2014, the Director and the Regional Director of the Spirit of Soccer met with the LMAC Director to discuss the funding and the implementation process of the "MRE project through soccer games", noting that football player activists have received training on delivering MRE clinics since May 2014.
