General Ziad Nasr representing the Armed Forces Commander General Joseph Aoun and the French Ambassador to Lebanon, Mr. Bruno Foucher, accompanied by a delegation from the French Embassy and Lt General Didier Brousse, Director of Cooperation in Security and Defense in France, in addition to the presence of several army officers. On 15/5/2017, the representative of the French-Lebanese cooperation program in the field of humanitarian and civil security Colonel Pierre Marie-Jeanne and a team from French military attaché represented by Colonel Christian Herrou and his assistant Colonel David Lucchini visited the Regional School for Humanitarian Demining in Lebanon (RSHDL) at Said Al Khatib Casern in Hammana, Mount Lebanon.

The representative of the president of Marshell Legacy American institute Ms, Elise Becker visited Lebanon on a four-day trip to different locations (from 10 till 13/4/2017). On 10/4/2017, the LMAC`s operation department accompanied her on a visit to Hammana, said Al khatib Casern where she has checked over the situation of mine detection dogs and its effectiveness, and has assessed the need for additional dogs or replacing existing ones.

Developing the first aid skills of mine action workers is of utmost importance as it contributes to saving the lives of those who were initially committed to saving the lives of others. In this scope, the LMAC, in accordance with the IMAS and NMAS, organized a 9-day Demining Medics Advanced Life Support (DMALS) training for 12 trainees including 10 LMAC staff and LAF Engineering staff along with 1 HI and 1 DCA officer, from 31 March to 15 May 2015 at its headquarter in Fiyadiyeh. The sessions were provided by the instructors of the National School for Emergency Care (NSEC) and with the support of the World Health Organization (WHO). The training aimed to enable each trainee to develop a better understanding, and to enhance their casualty monitoring and incident management skills.
