In the context of raising awareness about the dangers of mines among citizens especially for school students, a representative from the Lebanon Mine Action Center delivered an awareness lecture to the secondary students of Hussein Massoud school in Bshamoun on 24/10/2017, where mines, cluster bombs and unexploded ordnance have been identified, their forms, types and how to prevent their dangers and how to behave properly.
The lecture received a positive feedback from the audience through their interaction by asking questions and having many inquiries regarding this topic and receiving the specific answers. At the end of the lecture, awareness flyers were distributed for about 200 students in the school. Then the director of the Secondary School granted an appreciation award for the Center’s representative as a token of thanks and appreciation to the Lebanese Army.
