In the context of cooperation between the Lebanon Mine Action Center and the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) in mine action, particularly in the field of mine risk education, launched since November 2016, the United Nations Mine Action Service (UNMAS) organized an awareness day at Yarin Primary School, which included a lecture on the role of blue-flagged barrels on the Blue Line and a mine risk education lecture conducted by a representative from the Lebanon Mine Action Center explaining the scope of the problem of mines and how to prevent it and how to behave properly.
During the presentation models and pictures of mines and warning signs were presented on 12/10/2017, and distributed games for about 80 students and teachers including messages of mine risk education by the Center.
