As part of the mine awareness initiative, the Lebanon Mine Action Center (LMAC) worked in collaboration with BLOM Bank for a three day campaign starting on the 22nd till the 24th of November at Beirut City Center Mall. The event included several mine awareness sessions, a projection of a documentary about mines and an exhibition where a variety of mines were displayed. Promotional materials targeting the youth and the community were distributed such as: Video Games, Coloring books and stories, Mine Board Game, Kleenex boxes transmitting awareness messages as well as informative flyers.

This initiative allowed the exposure of the “BLOM MasterCard giving” card that contributes to the Lebanese humanitarian demining programme. The event created an opportunity for the community to learn about the danger of mines and actively participate in the demining process.
