Objective:
The objective of this course is to train participants so that they can prepare and execute a conventional munitions disposal task within a team.
Prerequisites:
Participants must have completed the EOR course beforehand.
Duration:
9 weeks, 5 days per week (Monday to Friday)
6 hours per day, for a total of 270 hours.
Skills Acquired:
a. Identify the dangers of munitions.
b. Knowledge and study of landmines, submunitions, hand and rifle grenades, rockets up to 122mm, mortars up to 160mm, artillery up to 155mm.
c. General knowledge of other types of munitions.
d. Identify a contaminated area.
e. General knowledge of Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) and booby traps.
f. Knowledge of munitions disposal equipment.
g. General knowledge of weapons of mass destruction.
h. Knowledge of explosive ordnance.
Cost:
The total cost for a fully covered participant is $4,095 USD, distributed as follows:
a. Accommodation: $20 USD per night per participant.
b. Training fees: $30 USD per day per participant.
c. Meals: $25 USD per day per participant.
This amount covers the full 9-week training, including accommodation and meals.
Note:
a. This cost also includes visa support and transportation to/from the airport.
b. No transportation is provided on weekends, except in emergencies.
c. Participants must have insurance covering the entire duration of their stay in Lebanon.
d. A quote and an information note will be sent 50 days before the start of the course, upon receipt of copies of participants’ passports.
