The IMAS EOD Level 3 Course is a five-week competency-based program designed to develop the advanced knowledge, practical skills, and leadership capabilities required to safely assess, identify, disarm, and neutralize unexploded ordnance (UXO), explosive remnants of war (ERW), mines, and other explosive devices in accordance with International Mine Action Standards (IMAS). The course covers advanced explosives theory, render safe procedures (RSP), fuze systems, ammunition recognition, IEDs and booby traps, threat and risk assessment, EOD task management, safety and quality management, mapping, reporting, storage and transportation of explosives, and emergency response through a combination of classroom instruction, practical exercises, and field-based EOD tasks.
