The Non-Technical Survey (NTS) Course is a two-week  competency-based program designed to develop the knowledge and practical skills required to collect, assess, and manage information on landmines and explosive remnants of war (ERW) without the need for intrusive intervention of hazardous areas. The course covers land release principles, evidence collection and ground sign recognition, information management, NTS tools and technologies, communication, interviewing and negotiation techniques, gender and diversity considerations, and field-based survey skills through a combination of classroom instruction, practical exercises, and field-based NTS activities.
