During March 2017 (5th till 17th of March 2017), one of the LMAC`s staff attended a training on IMSMA level 2 in Geneva. IMSMA is a software developed by the GICHD (Geneva International Center for Humanitarian Demining) as a data management tool for use in mine action centers. This training allowed the LMAC staff to acquire the necessary skills to work and update the mine action database in Lebanon.
At the professional level, IMSMA training provides better decision making ability, consolidation and estimation of data, ease of use, convenience in tasking activities, mine victims database management and MRE activities planning and reporting.
