From 26th to 29th April, the LMAC head of MVA department attended the 13th International Symposium and Equipment Exhibition Mine Action 2016 held in Biograd na Moru, under the high patronage of the Croatian President Kolinda Grabar Kitarović. The Symposium is co-organized by the Government Office for Mine Action, CROMAC and HCR-CTRO, and it is attended by 160 participants from 32 countries. The following topics are discussed: Contamination by ERW, Risks and safety in demining, New technologies, Cooperation and knowledge transfer; and MRE education and survivors’ assistance.
On the 26th of April, the Workshop presented the latest developments in the robotics field in mine action were presented.
On 27th of April, a demonstration was held near the town of Skradin. The participants attended a demonstration of a dog training school of the Norwegian Peoples' Aid (NPA) from Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Spinator company from Sweden with their information management device for application in technical survey, the EBOTLUTION Systems company from Spain with their robots and a drone.
On 28th of April, CROMAC representatives presented activities at a technical survey work-site in the village of Stankovci, on a real work-site.
