The LMAC director and the head of operations department attended the 19th Meeting of National Mine Action Directors and United Nations Advisers (NDM-UN) from 16-19 February 2016 in the Palais des Nations at the United Nations Office at Geneva.
The LMAC attended the Intersessional Meeting to the Convention on Cluster Munitions (CCM) at the World Meteorological Organization (WMO) building in Geneva, Switzerland, from 22 to 24 June 2015. The meeting was organized with the assistance of the interim Implementation Support Unit at UNDP and with the logistical support of the Geneva International Centre for Humanitarian Demining (GICHD).
The LMAC attended three International meetings in Geneva, Switzerland that gathered foreign and Arab Directors of Mine Action Programs and officers. The meetings were respectively the following: The Seventeenth International meeting of Mine Action National Programs Directors (1-3 April 2014), the Intersessional meeting on the implementation of the Convention on Cluster Munitions (7-9 April 2014) (CCM) and the Intersessional meeting on AP Mine Ban Convention (9-11 April 2014).
The 13MSP took place at the Palais des Nations in Geneva (2-6 December 2013). It was a formal meeting of the 161 States that have accepted the 1997 Convention on the Prohibition of the Use, Stockpiling, Production and Transfer of Anti-Personnel Mines and on their Destruction and 22 countries as observers including Lebanon. It was held in accordance with Article 11 of the Convention and pursuant to the decisions of the 2009 Second Review Conference and the 2012 Twelfth Meeting of the States Parties (12MSP).
