In the scope of assessing the work of demining organizations in Lebanon, LMAC received the visit of the Mechanical Consultant of the Mine advisory Group office in United Kingdom for a period of 4 days(28 till 31 July 2017).
In the scope of assessing the work of demining organizations in Lebanon, LMAC received the visit of the Mechanical Consultant of the Mine advisory Group office in United Kingdom for a period of 4 days(28 till 31 July 2017).
On 19/6/2017, a team from the Japanese Embassy in Lebanon visited a minefield in Hadth Al Jebeh, Northern Lebanon accompanied with officers from LMAC. The team took an overview on the clearance operations done in this field that is operated by HI under the supervision of LMAC.
As the international community is highly concerned of the mine action activities in Lebanon, the LMAC received a visit from the British HALO Trust organization on 11 July 2017. This team was represented by the Organization`s manager Mr, Simon Conway accompanied with Mr Freddie Sfeir and Paddy Nicoll. The visit commenced with a short brief given by the LMAC`s director Brig general Ziad Nasr who provided an overview on mines problem in Lebanon, means for overcoming obstacle, center`s achievements, challenges faced by the center in the demining context in addition to discussing best practices to enhance the cooperation between the center and the organization.
In a purpose of interchanging expertise between the international Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) in Morocco and LMAC, a team from ICRC visited LMAC on the 3rd of July 2017 represented by Ms, Sylvie Thoral.
