In April 2019, Lebanon Mine Action Center Director Brigadier General Jihad Al Bechelany welcomed H.E. Mrs Lene Lind and Mr. Tor Tordhol from the Norwegian Embassy in Lebanon, LMAC officers and UNDP Advisor Mrs. Ariane Elmas where they discussed different ways of copperation.
During March 2019, Brig, General Ziad Nasr welcomed Mrs. Sheila Mweemba at the LMAC where they discussed the latest activities of LMAC and a workshop waas held in order to help the LMAC get the relevant information needed.
Lebanon Mine Action Center in collaboration with UNDP and EU launched the "Socio-Economic Benefits of Mine Action in Lebanon" report: Uncovering the findings of the study which measure the socio-economic benefits of mine clearance Lebanon since 1998 & increase local, national & international support for mine action & explosive remnants of war (ERW) in the country.
